CRC Group
Senior Business Analyst | Product Owner (consultant) on an $800M+ billing modernization program and the migration of two AI-enabled insurance platforms.
The work
Context
CRC Group runs $800M+ in annual billing volume across 7,000 employer groups. Two parallel tracks ran across my time there. The first was a billing modernization program that needed to ship clean enough to support future M&A. The second is the current migration of two AI-enabled insurance platforms onto the CRC enterprise stack.
What I did
- Cut 3+ months from the discovery-to-build timeline by running prototype-driven discovery directly with billing stakeholders, instead of the usual waterfall spec cycle.
- Designed an M&A-ready billing architecture and identified $2M+ in cash-flow optimization through cleaner reconciliation workflows.
- Program paused for a late-2026 restart; the prototype and requirements baseline are the restart assets.
- Leading discovery and migration planning for two AI-enabled insurance platforms (submission intake + claims workflows) moving from an acquired platform to the CRC enterprise stack.
- Decomposing undocumented workflows across six systems, from the CRM and document storage to identity checks and the API gateway.
- Mapping system interactions to surface migration risk; aligning business stakeholders with engineering leads on scope and sequencing.
Outcomes
- 3+ months saved on discovery-to-build timeline via prototype-driven discovery.
- $2M+ cash-flow optimization identified through the billing architecture design.
- Two AI platform migrations currently in discovery and planning: submission intake and claims workflows.
